CAPITAL PROJECTS:
The Briarwood Nature Area bank stabilization and wetland restoration project is proceeding with work to begin in spring of 2009 and an anticipated completion date by the end of the year. Playground equipment replacement is in the works for the area just north of the Jewett Park Community Center and at Jaycee Park. Work is proceeding on the renovation of our new recreation and fitness center (formerly the Multiplex). We anticipate opening in spring/early summer of 2009, followed by a community-wide celebratory Grand Opening.
